Minneapolis, MN-August 29, 2000-TURCK Inc. has announced two new programmable temperature sensors. A dual setpoint model provides two programmable digital setpoints, and an analog model offers one programmable digital setpoint and a 4-20 mA analog output. The digital setpoints can be programmed as over/under monitors or windows with each completely independent of the other. The setpoints are accurate to within 3% of the overall range, and the resolution is reliable to 1oC.
The new temperature sensors employ the calorimetric principle to provide continuous and accurate temperature analysis of liquid or paste-like media. They are ideal for temperature analysis in many industries, including automotive, welding, hydraulic power units, beverage/brewery, plastics, hydraulics, pumps, pulp/paper, and semiconductor.
The devices, featuring a highly visible digital display and adjustable hysteresis, can be programmed to measure temperature in degrees Fahrenheit or degrees Celsius. Both models include a 4-digit, 7-segment digital display that keeps operators constantly aware of temperature status, and streamlines sensor set up via programming menu. Rotatable sensor housings allow users to view temperature data from any direction. The 24V dc devices include integral circuitry that protects against short-circuit damage, and a Gl/2 threaded fitting for easy installation. They operate in temperatures from -400C to +1200C (-40OF to +2480F).
