angle-mount; one for flat mount)
Specifications
Construction,
Environmental Rating, and Operating Conditions
Black ABS/polycarbonate blend housing; nylon fiber clip mounts to standard
35 mm DIN rail. Includes one stainless steel right-angle bracket and one
PBT polyester bracket for mounting to flat surfaces. Rated IEC IP67 (NEMA
6). Operating temperature -10 to +55 degrees C (+14 to +131 degrees F).
Maximum relative humidity: 90% at 50 degrees C (non-condensing).
Dimensions
Dimensions (cabled models) approximately 3.5" high x
1.2" wide x 1.0" deep (90 x 30 x 25 mm).

Connections
PVC-jacketed 5-conductor 2m (6.5 ft) or 9m (30 ft) attached cable
or 5-pin euro-style quick-disconnect.
Mating QD cables must be purchased separately.
Sensing
Mode, Sensing Range, and Light Source Type
Glass or plastic fiber optic (see tables for models and sensing
ranges)
Four light source colors: visible red (650nm), visible green (525nm),
visible blue (475nm), and visible white

Adjustments
Using push buttons: manual adjustment of switch point, Dynamic
TEACH sensitivity adjustment, Static TEACH sensitivity adjustment,
Light/Dark Operate selection, OFF Delay select (0, 20, or 40 milliseconds)
Using Remote TEACH input (gray wire): Dynamic TEACH sensitivity
adjustment, Static TEACH sensitivity adjustment, Light/Dark Operate
selection, OFF Delay select (0, 20, or 40 milliseconds), push-button
lockout for security
Indicators
Ten-segment green LED light bar displays signal strength
GREEN LED indicates Light Operate
GREEN LED indicates Dark Operate
YELLOW LED indicates outputs conducting
GREEN LED used to indicate OFF Delay in Setup and Run modes
Supply
Voltages
10
to 30V dc (10% maximum ripple) at less than 70mA (exclusive of load).
Output
Configuration and Rating
Bipolar: one current sinking (NPN) and one current sourcing (PNP)
output,150mA maximum (each) at 25 degrees C (derate 1 mV per degree C
increase).
Off-state leakage current <5 microamps at 30V dc
ON-state saturation voltage (NPN output) <200 mV at 10mA dc and 1V at
150 mA dc
ON-state saturation voltage (PNP output) <1V at 10mA dc and 1.5V at
150mA dc
Output
Response Time
50 microseconds "on" and "off" with no output
delay timing selected.
NOTE: 100ms delay on power up (NPN and PNP outputs non-conducting during
this time).
Output
Protection
Protected against false pulse on power-up and continuous overload
or short-circuit of outputs
Application
Notes
Do not mount the fiber directly perpendicular to shiny surfaces.
Position it at approximately a 15 degree angle in relation to the
perpendicular to the sensing target. Minimize web or product
"flutter" whenever possible to maximize sensing reliability.
